Isaac Harris

January 18, 1950 — April 1, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Isaac Harris, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world on April 1, 2026, at the age of 76, following a courageously fought illness. Born on January 18, 1950, in the heart of Eunice, Louisiana, Isaac was the cherished son of the late Deloris Johnwell and Lewis Harris. In the tapestry of his life, Isaac wove threads of kindness, love, and dedication. He was a man whose compassion knew no bounds—a man who would gladly give you the shirt off his back and offer a warm smile while doing so. His gentle spirit and generosity touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Isaac found the love of his life in Betty Johnson, whom he married on June 28, 1972. Their union was a testament to a love that was steadfast and true, and together they built a beautiful family, raising three remarkable daughters: Chantel Davis, Sylvia Jack, and Angela Harris. His family was his pride and joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Isaac's legacy is further enriched by his six adored grandchildren: Troynequa Harris, Aniyah Harris, Aliyah Hubbard, Adrionna Harris, Jondasha Davis, and Alexis Davis, and his one great-grandchild who brought him immense joy and pride. He was also a loving brother to James Poullard, with whom he shared countless memories and a lifetime of brotherly bonds. Beyond his familial roles, Isaac had a profound love for old school cars and took great delight in their timeless beauty and craftsmanship. However, his true passion lay in the simple pleasures of life—spending time with family and caring for children, whose innocence and joy he cherished deeply. Isaac's presence will be dearly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His life was a testament to the power of kindness and the enduring impact of a gentle heart. A service to celebrate Isaac's life will be held on April 10, 2026, at 9:29 AM at White Oaks Funeral Home, located at 110 South 12th Street, Oakdale, Louisiana. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor his memory, share in the comfort of one another's company, and reflect on a life well-lived. As we say goodbye to Isaac, we hold close the memories of his laughter, his warmth, and his unwavering love. May he rest in peace, knowing that he leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to be part of his journey.
