Irene Blanche (Richard) Comtois

In loving memory of Irene Blanche (Richard) Comtois, who embraced life with an unyielding love for her family and her faith, we celebrate a life beautifully lived. Born on August 16, 1951, in Worcester, MA, Irene was the beloved daughter of Norman and Rowena Richard. She passed away peacefully at home on November 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, just as she had always lived—with love at the heart of everything she did. Irene's life was a testament to the power of love and faith. She was married to her soulmate, Roland A. Comtois, on her birthday, August 16, 1969. Together, they shared 52 years of marriage, raising two wonderful children and creating a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to God. Family was the cornerstone of Irene's world. She is survived by her cherished children, Tracy (Joshua) Miller of Parrish, FL, and Billy (Marcos) Comtois of Leicester, NC. Her legacy continues through her treasured grandchildren: Ryan (Madison) Caspoli of Jacksonville, FL, Tyler (Kara) Cote of Springtown, TX, and Kyle (AnnMarie) Snelgrove of Valrico, FL, as well as her granddaughter Aunica Miller of Bradenton, FL. Irene was further blessed with seven great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored and delighted in reading to and nurturing. Irene's family circle extended beyond her immediate family to include her brother Edward Wunsch of Webster, MA, her sister-in-law Helen Jankowski, and her sister-in-law Gloria Comtois of Dayville, CT. She was predeceased by her loving parents, her husband Roland, and her brother Robert Wunsch. Her life was enriched by her many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. Irene's beautiful smile and her ability to make everyone feel like family will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Her constant love for God and her unwavering faith were an inspiration to everyone around her. Irene found joy in simple pleasures: spending time with her family, gaming with her grandsons in their early years, and staying connected with her brother, sister-in-laws, and absolute best friend. Her life was a tapestry of love, faith, and cherished connections. A memorial service to honor Irene's life will be held on November 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, located at 912 53rd Ave. West Bradenton, FL 34207. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice, as Irene believed in giving back and supporting those in need. As we say goodbye to this remarkable woman, we hold her memory close, forever in our hearts. Until we meet again, Irene, may you rest in peace in the grace of our Lord.
