Ingrid Maria Copeland, born on July 18, 1941, in Czechoslovakia, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness. Ingrid's journey on earth concluded with grace, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and resilience. Ingrid was predeceased by her beloved husband, James S. Copeland Sr., whose memory she cherished dearly. She is survived by her devoted children, Elizabeth (Joey) and James (Whitney), who were the pride and joy of her life. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, John Mooney, Jake Copeland, and Jenna Copeland, and her four great-grandchildren, who will forever hold her spirit close. Ingrid's heart knew no bounds, a quality that was evident in her lifelong love for animals and her passion for shopping and crossword puzzles. Her home was a welcoming haven, filled with laughter, warmth, and the delightful sound of her solving yet another puzzle. Her boundless kindness and generosity touched everyone she met, creating everlasting bonds and cherished memories. For two decades, Ingrid dedicated her professional life to the microfilm department of Aetna Insurance. Her commitment and diligence were appreciated by her colleagues, and her retirement marked the end of an era defined by her exemplary work ethic and camaraderie. Three years ago, Ingrid found renewed joy when she met the love of her life, David Collins. Their time together was a testament to the enduring power of love, even late in life, bringing Ingrid profound happiness and companionship. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to AuthoraCare for the compassionate hospice care they provided in Ingrid's final days. Their support was invaluable during a challenging time. A service to celebrate Ingrid's life will be held on November 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Forbis & Dick Pleasant Garden Chapel, located at 4601 Pleasant Garden Rd, Pleasant Garden, NC 27313. Friends and family are invited to gather and honor the beautiful soul that Ingrid was. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, reflecting Ingrid's enduring spirit of giving and her dedication to causes close to her heart. As we say goodbye, we hold Ingrid's memory close, grateful for the love and wisdom she shared, which will forever be a guiding light in our lives.
