In Loving Memory of Ilene Faye Roberts Ilene Faye Roberts, lovingly known as Faye, departed this world on February 24, 2026, at the age of 81. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family, after a courageous battle with renal failure and cerebral amyloid angiopathy. Born on February 12, 1945, in the quaint town of Mott, North Dakota, she was a cherished daughter of Aron and Mary Radach. Faye's early years were spent in Mott, North Dakota. In 1959, the family moved to Sunnyside, Washington, where she graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1964. Driven by a passion for creativity and beauty, she pursued her education at Beauty School, graduating in 1966. In 1972, she married the love of her life, Gilbert "Gil" Roberts, in Sunnyside, Washington. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless adventures. They were blessed with their son, Eric Roberts, and years later, Faye embraced her role as a mother-in-law to Julie Roberts with open arms and an open heart. Faye was a woman of many talents and interests. She owned and operated “Faye’s Cut-Away” in Lake Tapps, Auburn, WA, where she made an indelible mark on her community through her hairstyling expertise. Faye became a Washington State Salon Inspector and also worked as a representative for various beauty supply companies. Her love for travel led her to a brief yet fulfilling career as a flight attendant with Horizon Air. She and Gil explored the world together, making beautiful memories in their motor home across the country, and on trips to Europe, Mexico, the Caribbean, Alaska, and Hawaii. A gourmet cook, Faye delighted in entertaining friends and family with her culinary prowess. Faye and her dear friend Jan Williams co-founded “Creative Catering” where they provided beautiful creative dining presentations. She had an eye for beauty, evident in her cherished collections of dolls, crystal, china dishes, figurines, and antiques. Known for her engaging smile and generous spirit, her warmth and kindness touched the hearts of everyone she met. Faye attended Oasis Community Church in Scottsdale, AZ, where her faith as a born-again follower of Jesus Christ was a guiding light in her life. Her love for her family was boundless, and she took immense pride in her grandsons, Austin, Nicholas and Jeremiah, and her great-grandsons, Caden and Keagan. Her heart was further expanded with the addition of Kenna, her grandson Austin’s wife. Faye is survived by her beloved husband, Gil, her devoted son Eric and daughter-in-law Julie, her dear sister Phyllis Spurbeck and brother-in-law Victor, her sister-in-law Gayle, her sister -in-law Deeann , her brother-in-law Jim and several nieces and nephews. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will be treasured by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Aron and Mary Radach, her siblings Darlene Currin and Larry Radach, and her mother-in-law Betty Roberts. Though they have preceded her, their spirits remain alive in the memories and stories shared by those who loved them. A service to honor and celebrate Faye's life will be held on March 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Oasis Community Church 15014 N 56th St Scottsdale, AZ 85254. A second Celebration of Life Service will be following on April 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Evergreen Christian Community Church, 1000 Black Lake Blvd. SW Olympia, WA 98502.
