Ila Jeanne Reynolds

Ila Jeanne Reynolds, a remarkable woman known for her sweet and sassy nature, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026, at the age of 100. Born on December 5, 1925, Chico, California, Ila’s century-long journey was marked by love, resilience, and an indomitable spirit. The daughter of John and Eneth Miller, Ila was raised in Chico, alongside her beloved sisters, Barbara Box and JoAnn Minch. As a young woman, she exuded a unique blend of sweetness and strength that would become her lifelong hallmark. Ila first married Bill Garrett, with whom she lovingly raised three children. Her life was profoundly touched by both joy and sorrow, having endured the loss of her first husband, Bill, her daughter, Christy Garrett White, her grandson, Cortney Garrett, and her great-granddaughter, Ava Magaña. After Bill's passing, Ila married Hank Reynolds, with whom she shared many happy years until his passing. Ila was a devoted mother to her surviving children, Debbie Ramirez and Rod Garrett, and a cherished grandmother to Jessalyn Magaña, Garin Ramirez, Collin Ramirez, and Ali Moore. Her legacy lives on in her ten great-grandchildren: Lila, Mateo, Noah, Owen, Cade, Faith, Mox, George, Harry, and Franklin, all of whom were blessed to know her love and wisdom. Ila's life was a testament to her strong will and independence. Her legacy will continue to inspire her family and friends, who will forever cherish her memory.
