Idris Paul, a precious soul who graced this world for a brief yet profoundly impactful 71 days, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois. Born on February 19, 2026, to loving parents Jayla Jackson and Emmanuel Paul, Idris was a beacon of light who brought immense joy and love to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Though his time with us was short, Idris's impact on our lives was immeasurable. In his few weeks on this earth, he taught us invaluable lessons about strength, love, faith, and resilience. His journey, though brief, was filled with moments of profound beauty and love, which touched the hearts of everyone around him. Idris had a unique ability to bring joy and warmth to those around him, embodying a spirit of unconditional love that will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
Idris is survived by his devoted parents, Jayla Jackson and Emmanuel Paul, who provided him with endless love and care during his life. Though he was not able to attend school or build lifelong friendships, Idris was surrounded by the love of his family, who cherished every moment spent with him.
He joins his predeceased family members in peaceful rest: his grandfather Friday Paul, great-grandfather Kyle Jackson, great-great-grandfather Hubert Muldrow, and great-great-grandmother Jesse Mae Walker. We find solace in knowing that Idris is now embraced by the warmth and love of his ancestors.
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Idris Paul will be held on May 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Leaks and Son. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Idris are invited to join us in remembering his remarkable spirit and the love he inspired in so many.
In this time of sorrow, we hold close the memories of Idris and the lessons he imparted upon us. His gentle spirit and the love he shared will forever be imprinted on our hearts, a reminder of the purest form of love and the strength found in the briefest of moments. Rest in peace, dear Idris.
