It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ida Wedgewood, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Born on November 10, 1961, in Silver City, New Mexico, Ida peacefully departed this life on August 20, 2026, in the comfort of her home surrounded by close friends and family. Ida was the cherished daughter of the late Thomas and Teresa Wedgewood and is predeceased by her dear sister, Yolanda Holguin and her nephew, Henry Wedgewood. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her surviving family members: her devoted children Monica Amador and her husband Louie, Pamela Miranda, Tabitha Grimes and Matthew Grimes; her treasured sister Aurora, and brothe Tommy; and her twelve adored grandchildren: Analysia, Christian, Ralph, Ethan, Timothy, Alex, Marcus, Jayden, Peyton, Madison, Macie, and Miranda. Her family was the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. A proud graduate of Cobre High School, Class of 1979, Ida dedicated over 20 years of her life as a diligent and valued assistant at Walmart. Her colleagues and customers alike remember her for her warm smile and unwavering dedication. Ida's vibrant personality was marked by her love of cracking wise jokes, yet she was equally known for her generous heart. She was a beacon of kindness, always ready to help those in need. Her compassion and generosity touched many lives and left an indelible mark on her community. In her leisure time, Ida found joy in crocheting and, most of all, in the company of her beloved grandchildren. Her hands were never idle, and her heart was always full. A service to honor Ida's life will be held on August 28, 2026, at 1:30 PM at the home of Pamela Miranda at 102. W. Oak St, Santa Clara, NM.
