Hunter Gray

September 20, 1995 — June 22, 2024

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the untimely passing of Hunter Gray, a cherished father, devoted friend, and talented craftsman, who departed from this world on June 22, 2024, at the age of 28. Born on September 20, 1995, Hunter's life was tragically cut short, leaving a void that will be felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Hunter was a man whose heart was as expansive as the sky, and whose spirit was as enduring as the mountains. He believed in living life to the fullest, finding joy and purpose in each moment. He was a steadfast friend, known for his unwavering loyalty and kindness, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a comforting word. His infectious smile and gentle demeanor left an indelible mark on everyone he met. The center of Hunter's universe was his beloved children, Autumn and Hailey. They were the light of his life, and he took immense pride in watching them grow, guiding them with love and wisdom. His greatest joy was creating beautiful memories with them, ensuring they always felt loved and supported. Hunter had a profound love for working with his hands, a passion he pursued with remarkable skill and dedication. He was a gifted welder whose craftsmanship was both an art and a testament to his perseverance and creativity. His work was not just a career, but a reflection of his spirit — strong, reliable, and enduring. Surrounded by a close-knit circle of friends, Hunter was the kind of friend everyone wished to have. Leslie Champlin, Courtnie Whitson, Cody Schroeder, and Lindy and Darrell Combs were more than friends; they were family. Together, they shared countless adventures, laughter, and moments that will forever be cherished. Hunter's journey through life was his education, filled with experiences that shaped him into the remarkable person he was. His understanding of the world was deepened by every challenge he faced, and his resilience was an inspiration to all. Though his life was tragically taken from us, Hunter's legacy of love and friendship will live on in the hearts of his children, family, and friends. As we gather to celebrate his life, we remember a man who embodied kindness and compassion, and who touched the lives of so many. Hunter Gray will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the stories we share, the lives he touched, and the memories we hold dear. May we honor him by living with the same passion and love that he brought to every day. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Hunter's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity supporting victims of violence, in Hunter's honor.
