Hunter was a devoted husband to Maija Wolf, with whom he shared 56 beautiful years of marriage. Their union, celebrated on February 11th, stood as a testament to enduring love, resilience, and partnership. Together, they raised three wonderful sons—Deacon, Levi, and Grayson—and lovingly remembered their angel baby girl. Hunter was a pillar of strength and guidance, embodying the quintessential family man who relished every moment spent with his loved ones. In addition to his immediate family, Hunter is survived by his sister, Alex Stidham, and his beloved niece, Bethanie Elaine. His cousins, Jennifer Berlin Webster and Freddy Webster, were a cherished part of his life. Though he leaves behind no grandchildren, his legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends. Hunter's professional journey was one of honor and commitment. A proud graduate of St. Louis Catholic High, he went on to serve with distinction as a Sergeant in the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office. During his 9.5 years of service, he was not only a respected officer but also a beloved training officer. Known for his exceptional skills and dedication, he was instrumental in training many officers and was an integral part of the CRT team and high water rescue operations. His colleagues admired him for his leadership and unwavering dedication to duty. Beyond his professional life, Hunter was an avid outdoorsman. He found solace and joy in the great outdoors, whether casting a line with his lifelong friend and charter captain, Bradley, or embarking on hunting adventures blessed by his parents. These experiences enriched his life and provided countless cherished memories. Hunter was a proud member of the Krewe de Lunatiques, where he found joy in the camaraderie and celebration of life. Known for his warm, fatherly presence, he was always willing to teach, share a meal, and create lasting family memories. His love for cooking and his ability to bring people together was unmatched, and his home was always filled with laughter and warmth. Preceded in death by his beloved angel baby girl, Aunt Cecilia Hotard, grandparents Betty Jean Berlin, Beatrice Stidham, Percy Cecil Berlin, cousin Devin Berlin, and parents Darren and Terrye Stidham, Hunter is now reunited with them in peace. Hunter Drake Stidham lived a life full of love, service, and joy. His legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
