He was 79 years old. Born on June 5, 1946, in Waukegan, Illinois, Howard was the cherished son of the late Edward Tiemann Sr. and Helen (Prince) Tiemann. He grew up with a strong sense of family and community, values that would guide him throughout his life. Howard proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam Era from 1964 to 1967. His service to the nation was a testament to his dedication and courage, qualities that he carried into all aspects of his life. After his honorable military service, Howard built a career as a skilled mechanic and electrician. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and a knack for problem-solving, Howard was the person everyone turned to when things needed fixing. His work was not just a job but a passion that he pursued with excellence and pride. In 2002, Howard married the love of his life, Christy Allen, on a beautiful day in July. Their marriage was a testament to love and partnership, and together they built a life filled with joy and companionship until Christy's passing. Howard found immense joy in building and flying R/C airplanes, a hobby that brought him countless hours of satisfaction and camaraderie with fellow enthusiasts. The skies of Durant were often graced with the sight of Howard’s meticulously crafted planes, a testament to his creativity and dedication. Howard's legacy is carried on by his children, grandchildren, and all those whose lives he touched with his kindness and wisdom. His gentle spirit and infectious smile will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. A service to celebrate Howard's remarkable life will be held on May 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Highland Cemetery, located at 1620 Cemetery Rd, Durant, Oklahoma. Family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Howard are invited to attend and honor his memory. As we bid farewell to Howard, we remember him as a devoted family man, a patriotic veteran, a skilled craftsman, and a gentle soul. His journey on this earth may have ended, but his spirit will forever soar in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
