In Loving Memory of Howard "RED" Deane It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Howard "RED" Deane on October 1, 2026, at his home. Born on October 15, 1957, in Norfolk, Virginia, Howard was a beloved son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a cherished friend to many. Howard was the proud son of Eileen Deane, who predeceased him and whose memory he carried with him throughout his life. He is survived by his loving children, daughter Erica Gadsden and her husband Brian, and his son Phillip Deane and his wife Keisha. His legacy continues in his grandchildren, Tremaya Knox, Chaton Linsey, and Sanchez Linsey, and his great-granddaughter, Milan Johnson. A proud graduate of the Virginia Public School System, Howard's journey led him to serve his country in the United States Army, where he earned an honorable discharge for his dedicated service. After his tenure in the military, Howard pursued a career in the construction industry, most recently contributing his skills and energy to the HJ Russell Company. Howard was a man of great faith, often attending Bible study and finding solace and strength in his spirituality. Known for his vibrant personality and infectious smile, he had the unique ability to light up any room he entered. His love for sports, singing, and dancing made him the life of the party, and he was notorious for his playful trash-talking, which endeared him to friends and family alike. Above all, Howard was a devoted family man. He treasured every moment spent with his children, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, and extended family. His heart was as big as his laughter, and his fun-loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Howard's life will be held on October 17, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Hope Funeral Home, located at 165 Carnegie Pl, Fayetteville, Ga 30214. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, kindness, and support during this difficult time. Your calls, texts, and gestures of compassion have been a source of comfort and strength. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a donation in Howard's memory to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to his generous spirit and his enduring legacy of love and kindness.
