It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Howard Jones, who left this world on June 11, 2026, at the age of 40. Howard was born on August 19, 1985, in Baltimore, Maryland. His life was tragically cut short in a senseless act of gun violence, a heartbreaking reminder of the preciousness and unpredictability of life. Howard was the cherished son of the late Linda Brown and Hunter Jones, and brother to the late Rickey Brown. He is survived by his beloved wife of six years, Tisha Jones, and their wonderful blended family, including his son Howard Jones Jr. and stepson Aaron White. Howard also leaves behind his brothers, Rico Brown and Carlos Williams Jr., as well as two adored grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. Howard and Tisha married on May 16, 2020, in their hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. Together, they created a harmonious and loving family, merging two households into one united and happy home. Their life together was marked by laughter, genuine love, and a shared commitment to building a future filled with warmth and togetherness. A certified HVAC technician, Howard devoted himself to his career with passion and dedication. After completing two years of trade school and apprenticeship, he quickly advanced to a Journeyman role, excelling in handling service calls and installations. His work ethic and determination allowed him to climb the ranks in the HVAC industry, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and clients alike. Outside of his professional life, Howard was a sports enthusiast who found joy in watching games and cheering for his favorite teams. However, his greatest passion was giving back to his community. Howard was known for his infectious smile that could light up any room and his unwavering commitment to uplifting those around him. Whether mentoring the next generation or offering a helping hand to someone in need, Howard was a beacon of hope and a role model to many. His compassion and kindness stemmed from his own experiences growing up in a single-parent home. Howard aspired to be the knight in shining armor he wished he had, and he succeeded in being a source of inspiration and strength for countless individuals. A service celebrating Howard's life will be held on July 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at DC City Church, located at 7101 7th St NW, Washington, DC 20012. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to DC City Church for their kindness, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Your care has made a challenging time much easier to bear, and we truly appreciate everything you did for our family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Howard's memory to support community programs that align with his passion for helping others. Howard Jones will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, kindness, and service will continue to inspire and uplift. May he rest in peace.
