Born on March 11, 1954, in the vibrant city of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Howard was a man of humble beginnings who grew into a beloved father, son, brother, and friend. Howard was the cherished son of Catherine Ford and the late James Ford, who instilled in him the values of hard work and dedication. These values carried Howard through his life as he worked diligently as a janitor at Coyle High School. Known for his unwavering commitment and meticulous work ethic, Howard left an indelible mark on the community he served until health issues required him to retire. Though he faced life's trials, including battling dysphasia, Howard's spirit never wavered. His daughter, Kristie Ford, was a constant source of support and love, faithfully visiting him daily, embodying the deep bond they shared. In addition to Kristie, Howard is survived by his loving mother, Catherine Ford; his devoted son, Marcus Ford; his caring sister, Gail Wilburn; and his treasured granddaughter, who brought immense joy to his life. Howard was predeceased by his father, James Ford, and his beloved daughter, Cloitel Ford, whose memories he cherished deeply. Despite the challenges he faced, he remained a beacon of resilience and strength, values he passed on to his children and granddaughter. Education was an important milestone for Howard. Though he did not graduate in his youth, he demonstrated remarkable perseverance by attending night school later in life, a testament to his belief in the power of personal growth and learning. A private ceremony will be held to honor Howard's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Howard's generous and giving spirit. Howard Ford's legacy is one of love, resilience, and an enduring commitment to family. His memory will forever be cherished by those who knew him, and his spirit will continue to inspire us all.
