Houston Jones

April 22, 1974 — September 25, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Houston Jones on September 25, 2026. Born on April 22, 1974, in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California, Houston was a beloved son of Houston Jones and the late Patricia Ann Marbuery. His journey on this earth concluded peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family. Houston was a man of many talents and passions. He spent his formative years attending schools in both Los Angeles and Cleveland, where he laid the foundation for a life filled with hard work and dedication. He made his mark driving tow trucks and engaging in construction work with Jones General Contracting, industries where he was as respected for his skills as he was for his unwavering work ethic. Beyond his professional life, Houston had a deep love for old school cars and carried a lifelong fascination with tow trucks. His interests extended to the company of women, and he was known for his humor, warm smile, and an infectious zest for life. Those who knew him will fondly remember his playful spirit and his love for wrestling, often surprising friends and family with his spontaneous matches and cheerful demeanor. Houston was a devoted father to his children, Huston and DeAndre, and a proud grandfather to six adoring grandchildren. His legacy is further carried on by his seven brothers, Tramaine Jones, Gregory Marbuery, Lawrence Marbuery, Isaac Jones, John Jones, Daniel Jones, and Alan McCoy, as well as his cherished sister, Sharisse McCoy. His family was the centerpiece of his life, and he was a steadfast pillar of support and joy for them all. Though his mother, Patricia Ann Marbuery, predeceased him, the values she instilled in Houston are evident in the love and strength he shared with his family and friends. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been there during this difficult time. Your presence and words of encouragement have been a source of comfort and strength. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice, honoring Houston’s generous spirit and commitment to helping others. Houston’s memory will live on in the laughter he inspired, the love he shared, and the lives he touched. As we gather to remember and celebrate his remarkable journey, we find solace in knowing that his spirit will forever remain in our hearts. Sincerely, The Jones's, Marbuery's, and McCoy's
