Hope Keshia Loyd, a cherished mother, partner, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away on July 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion. Born on May 12, 1976, in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, Hope was a beacon of kindness and warmth to all who knew her. She was the beloved daughter of the late Deborah Rawls and Dennis Loyd, and she carried with her the cherished memories of her mother, grandmother Lizzie Dunn, and her dear Auntie Essie Dunn and Uncle William Turner Sr. Hope shared a beautiful life with her long-time partner, Thomas Brown. Together, they were blessed with two wonderful children, Jayvon and Angelique, who were born in November 1995 and July 2000, respectively. Her family was her greatest joy, and she delighted in spending time with them, including her precious granddaughter, Khami Brown. Hope's family extended beyond her immediate circle, embracing her sisters Richelle Rawls and Takethia Smith, brother Curtis Millage, as well as numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, and a wide network of friends who cherished her deeply. Hope began her educational journey at 68th Street Elementary School, continuing through John Muir Middle School, and graduating from Manual Arts High School. Her passion for helping others led her to a fulfilling 13-year career as a home health care aide, where she took a special interest in caring for the elderly, always with a gentle touch and warm smile. A woman of many talents and interests, Hope was a true "jack of all trades." She had an infectious enthusiasm for football, cheering wholeheartedly for her beloved Green Bay Packers. Her love for cooking was evident in her role as the personal cook for her son's basketball team, and she found immense joy in dancing to the lively rhythms of Belizean music. Above all, Hope treasured the moments spent with her family, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love. Hope's kind soul and generous heart touched everyone she met. She was known for opening her arms for a warm hug and her door to friends and family in need. Her legacy is one of love, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to those she held dear. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Hope's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Hope's memory to a charity of your choice that supports elder care or community services, reflecting her lifelong dedication to helping others. Hope Keshia Loyd will be dearly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved and the countless lives she touched.
