March 21, 1950 — April 1, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Hilda Carmen Peters, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world on April 1, 2026. Born on March 21, 1950, in the vibrant city of Lima, Peru, Hilda's life was a tapestry of love, resilience, and dedication, woven intricately with the threads of family, faith, and community. Hilda was the cherished daughter of the late Augusto and Hilda Monteverde. She was predeceased by her dear siblings Dante, Gustavo, and Maria, with whom she shared countless memories and a deep familial bond that transcended time and distance. Surviving her is her devoted brother Carlos, who, like her, carried the Monteverde legacy of strength and unity. As a mother, Hilda was a beacon of warmth and kindness to her children, Jeffrey Peters and Jessica Khouri. She embraced her role with nurturing grace, imparting wisdom, courage, and unconditional love. Her daughter-in-law, Krista, was not just an addition to the family but a treasured daughter in Hilda's eyes. Together, they shared laughter, stories, and the joys of family life that Hilda cherished deeply. Hilda's heart was most full when surrounded by her four grandchildren—Peyton, Jude, Bryce, and Ian. To them, she was not only a grandmother but a storyteller, confidante, and enthusiastic cheerleader at every school play and soccer game. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled in each of them: kindness, integrity, and the importance of family. Friends and family will gather to celebrate Hilda's remarkable life on May 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Beit Simcha, located at 1111 Grange Road, Allentown, PA 18106. This service will not only be a moment of farewell but a reflection of the profound impact Hilda had on all who knew her. Her spirit will be honored through the shared stories, laughter, and tears of those who were fortunate enough to be touched by her presence. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Beit Simcha, an organization close to Hilda's heart. Through this gesture, we hope to continue her legacy of generosity and community support. Hilda Carmen Peters will be remembered for her unwavering love, her infectious laughter, and her ability to light up a room with her smile. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched. Her memory will forever be a blessing and a source of comfort to all who loved her. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of those who went before her.
