Born on May 11, 1940, in the sun-kissed lands of New Mexico, Herminio was the beloved son of Epiphanio Celestino Dimas and Rose Sandoval. His journey on this Earth was marked by deep love for his family, a steadfast dedication to his career, and an enduring passion for the simple joys of life. In 1963, Herminio answered the call to serve his country, enlisting as a medic in the army. For three years, from 1963 to 1966, he selflessly tended to the needs of his fellow servicemen, offering comfort and care with a gentle hand and a compassionate heart. This experience profoundly shaped his life, inspiring him to pursue a career as a veterinarian upon returning to civilian life. His dedication to the well-being of animals was a testament to his nurturing spirit and his unwavering commitment to healing. Beyond his professional achievements, Herminio found immense joy in the game of golf. The rolling greens and the camaraderie of the golf course were a sanctuary for him, a place where he could unwind, reflect, and enjoy the beauty of nature. His love for the sport was infectious, and he cherished the time spent sharing this passion with friends and family. Herminio's legacy is carried forward by his loving family, including his children and five adoring grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy and pride into his life. A celebration of Herminio's life will take place on August 1, 2026, at the Valley Event Center, located at 623 H St. Family, friends, and all whose lives Herminio touched are invited to join in honoring his memory and celebrating the life of a remarkable man.
