Herlinda was surrounded by her devoted children as she concluded her courageous battle with illnesses, including Alzheimer's disease, a testament to her enduring strength and grace.
Herlinda was born on April 15, 1941, in the picturesque town of Paricuaro, Michoacán, Mexico. Her life was a testament to resilience, love, and unwavering faith. Throughout her 85 years, she touched countless lives with her warm smile, generous heart, and profound wisdom.
Herlinda is survived by her cherished husband, Juvenal De Paz, and their remaining 11 children, who continue to carry forward the legacy of love and unity she instilled in them.
Herlinda's dedication to her family was unparalleled. She was a nurturing mother, a devoted wife, and a steadfast friend to many. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and laughter, where everyone felt welcome and loved. Her culinary skills were legendary, with her kitchen often filled with the comforting aromas of traditional Michoacán dishes.

A service to honor Herlinda's remarkable life will be held at Parroquia Nuestra Señora de la Asunción in her birthplace of Paricuaro, Michoacán, on May 13, 2026, at 11:15 a.m. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
As we bid farewell to Herlinda, her family wishes to extend a special message: "Descansando en paz, al lado del Señor Jesucristo. Acompañado a su hijo Everardo De Paz y hija Jovita De Paz." In these words, we find comfort in knowing that she is now in eternal rest, embraced by the love of our Lord and reunited with her beloved children.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Herlinda's memory to organizations dedicated to Alzheimer's research, in hopes of finding a cure for this heartbreaking disease.
