Herbert Ewing Armstead

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Herbert Ewing Armstead, who departed this life on October 28, 2026. Born on October 21, 1977, in Wharton, Texas, Herbert was a beloved son, father, sibling, and friend who touched the lives of many with his kindness, humor, and unwavering love. Herbert was the cherished son of Mary Ann Foston and the late Herbert Ewing. He was also predeceased by his dear Grandma Fannie Jane Haywood and Great Grandma Georgia Re Armstead. Herbert's legacy of love and laughter lives on through his children, Anthony Jacques, Jasmine Armstead, Symone Armstead, and Sye Armstead, whom he shared with his partner, Jennifer Adams. Herbert was a devoted father whose children were his pride and joy. He was blessed with the gift of being a grandfather to Wynter Smith, with whom he shared countless joyful moments. Herbert's family extended beyond his children and grandchild to include his siblings, Calvin Armstead, Jennifer Armstead, and Liz Ewing, who will forever cherish the memories they created together. Herbert was a man of great warmth and generosity, always ready with a smile or a helping hand. His vibrant spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew him. As a community member, Herbert was admired for his dedication and the genuine care he showed to those around him. A memorial service to celebrate Herbert's life will be held on November 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Great New Prospect Baptist Church, located at 14020 W Richmond St, Needville, TX 77461, United States. Family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Herbert are invited to gather and honor his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to Herbert's generous and caring nature. Herbert Ewing Armstead will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
