Herbert Earl Brown (Earl)

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Herbert Earl Brown, affectionately known as Earl, on August 14, 2026. Earl was born on May 25, 1970, in Du Quoin, Illinois, to Allegra (Marsh) and Herbert Brown. He departed this world peacefully at home, enveloped in the love and warmth of his cherished family. Earl was a man whose life was marked by service, dedication, and love. He proudly served his country as a 91B Combat Medic in the United States Army, a role he approached with honor and commitment. After his military service, Earl embarked on a career in the oilfield and as a millwright, where his reputation as a diligent and hardworking individual was well-earned. Earl's educational journey began at Northside High School, and he furthered his studies at American Career College, graduating in 1988. These early achievements laid the foundation for a life characterized by continuous learning and growth. On April 23, 2007, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Earl married the love of his life, Nena Brown. Together, they built a life filled with joy, adventure, and unwavering devotion. Their family grew to include six wonderful children: Chyenne Crowder, Kira Orsbun-Brown, Vanessa Brown, Erika Brown, Drake Brown, and Christopher Brown. Earl was also blessed with a granddaughter, Evelina, who brought an extra sparkle to his eye. Family was at the core of Earl's being. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nena, his children, and his granddaughter, Evelina. He also leaves behind his brother Richard Rhan, and the memory of his sister, Barbara Reynolds. Earl was predeceased by his parents, Allegra and Herbert Brown, and his sister Barbra Reynolds. Earl was a man of many passions, but above all, he cherished time spent with his family. Whether traveling to new places or simply enjoying each other's company at home, Earl's love for his family was a guiding force throughout his life. He was known for his big heart and his steadfast dedication to those he loved. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in honor of Earl's generous spirit. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the hospice nurses and Heart of Hospice for their exceptional care and support during Earl's final days. Special thanks are also extended to Earl’s children, who stood by their father with love and strength. Your dad loved y’all so so much!! Earl's legacy of love, dedication, and resilience will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May his memory be a blessing to us all.
