Henry Reeves

Henry Reeves, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on July 20, 2026, at the age of 100. Born in Eufaula, Alabama on November 8, 1925, Henry was a beacon of love and resilience throughout his life, always ready with a helping hand and a warm smile. The son of Clara and Richard Reeves, Henry was raised with strong family values and a tireless work ethic that stayed with him throughout his life. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings: sisters Alberta, Hannah, and Eula June, and brother Samuel. Despite these losses, Henry's heart remained open and generous, a testament to his enduring spirit. Henry bravely served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, earning an honorable discharge for his dedication and service. His commitment to duty and his comrades was unwavering, and he carried these values into civilian life. After returning home, Henry dedicated his career to maintaining apartment complexes, where his expertise and diligence were cherished by all he worked with. After retiring from InterParking, he continued to share his skills, often seen with tools in hand, fixing cars or helping neighbors with their maintenance needs. His hands were never idle, and his heart was always full. Henry’s life was also defined by his deep love and devotion to his family. He was married to his first love, Mary Ethel, for 46 wonderful years until her passing. Together, they raised their great-granddaughter, Tanya, instilling in her the same values of kindness and perseverance that defined their lives. In March 2002, Henry found love again and married Eddie M., with whom he shared 24 joyous years. Together, they adopted and raised Marcel and Devon, nurturing them with the same love and dedication. Henry’s presence in the lives of those he loved was a constant source of strength and joy. His infectious laughter, wisdom, and compassion will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Eddie M., along with his children and grandchildren, who will continue to honor his legacy of love and service. In keeping with Henry's generous spirit, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of one's choice in his memory. This would be a fitting tribute to a man whose life was spent in service to others. As we bid farewell to Henry, we celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy that will endure in the hearts of all who were touched by his kindness. May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with his loved ones who have gone before him.
