Henry was a devoted and caring brother to his surviving sisters, Sarch Cotton, Joann Monrose, and Leath Lewis. He was preceded in death by his cherished parents, Georgia and Henry, whose teachings of love, kindness, and resilience he carried throughout his life.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, enriched by the lives of his 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought boundless joy to his days. Henry's life was a testament to his unwavering dedication to family and community, marked by a warm smile and a generous spirit that touched the hearts of many.
Henry's memory will be timeless, as his life was a rich tapestry of experiences and love that will continue to inspire and guide his family and friends. His presence brought comfort, and his kindness was a beacon of light for all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A viewing will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The celebration of Henry's life will take place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the New Birth Baptist Church, located at 2300 NW 135 St, Miami, FL 33167. The service will include heartfelt tributes and a special reading of "An Irish Blessing," a poem that speaks to the comfort and peace we wish for Henry in his eternal rest.
In honor of Henry's memory, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting the spirit of giving that Henry so embodied.
