Henry Hawkins Jr
September 1, 1947 — September 25, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Henry Hawkins Jr., a cherished soul who left this world peacefully on September 25, 2026, in the comfort of his home in Texas, after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer. Born on September 1, 1947, Henry was a beacon of warmth and joy, whose presence lit up every room he entered.
Henry was a man whose zest for life was palpable. Known for his warm smile and infectious wit, he was always the first one to hit the dance floor, drawing others to him with his vibrant spirit and undeniable charm. His love for life was not just seen, but felt, as he encouraged those around him to join in the dance, to laugh, and to find joy in the everyday moments.
Preceded in death by his beloved daughters Lorrieane, Roxanne, Nicole, Ebony, and Charmaine Hawkins, Henry's legacy continues to thrive through the lives of his surviving family members. He leaves behind a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the apples of his eye, along with his devoted brothers and daughters. With 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, Henry's family tree is a testament to the love and life he fostered and cherished.
Henry's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered their support, thoughts, and prayers during this difficult time. They find comfort in knowing that Henry fought a good fight and is now at peace with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
In accordance with his wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor Henry's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, a gesture that would honor Henry's generous spirit.
Henry Hawkins Jr. will be missed dearly, but his legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will continue to inspire all who knew him. He has left an indelible mark on the hearts of many, and his memory will live on in the stories shared, the dances remembered, and the love that binds those he left behind.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Henry Hawkins Jr welcomes donations to a charity, nonprofit, church, or organization of your choosing.
