Henry George Kulka

June 26, 1962 — April 16, 2026

It is with profound sadness and deep respect that we announce the passing of Henry George Kulka, who departed this world on April 16, 2026, at the age of 63. Henry passed away peacefully at Cairns Base Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Born on June 26, 1962, in the vibrant town of Cairns, Queensland, Henry was the beloved son of George Kulka and Esther Kulka (nee Ross-Kelly). Growing up in Cairns, he was known for his "happy go lucky" personality, a trait that endeared him to all and left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know him. Henry was predeceased by the caring team of Cairns doctors, to whom the family is eternally grateful for their compassionate care and support throughout his life. He is lovingly remembered by his devoted partner, Coralee, and his cherished children: Nicole and Jason, Thealiessha and John, Rachel and Lionel, Glen and Kimberley, Karla, Hamish, Leila, Kassy and Leroy, and Tahlia. Henry's family was his pride and joy; he leaves behind 33 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, each of whom carries a piece of his spirit. Henry's siblings, Warren, Geoffrey, and Eril (dec), along with his extended family, including Esther Anne, Lenore, and Regan, will forever hold his memory dear. To all who knew him, Henry was a beacon of light, bringing warmth and happiness into every room he entered. A service to celebrate Henry's life will be held on May 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Cooktown Cemetery, located at 20 Charlotte Street. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and to honor the incredible life of a man who was truly "forever in our hearts." The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the kindness and support extended to them during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, they ask that you cherish your loved ones and live with the same joy and enthusiasm that Henry exemplified every day. As we bid farewell, let us remember Henry George Kulka not with tears, but with the laughter and love he so freely shared. His spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, a testament to a life well-lived and a heart that will never be forgotten.
