In Loving Memory

Henry Cuff
August 31, 1955 — June 8, 2026
Henry Cuff, a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on June 8, 2026, at the age of 70. Born on August 31, 1955, in Clay County, Georgia, Henry was the cherished son of the late Beulah Guilford and Sammie D. Cuff. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Howard Cuff and Charlie J. Thomas, and his sister Lorene Cuff.
Henry's life was a testament to warmth, humor, and dedication. Educated in the Calhoun County School System, he carried his love for learning into his career, where he served selflessly at Collins Funeral, providing comfort to many families until his health began to decline. His dedication to his work was matched only by his commitment to his community and his church. As a devoted member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Henry found joy in his faith and in the fellowship of his congregation.
An avid fisherman, Henry never missed an opportunity to cast a line, finding peace and pleasure along the water's edge. Whether he was reeling in a catch or sharing a story, his quick wit and warm smile were constants in the lives of those who knew him. Henry had a unique ability to bring light to even the darkest of days with his ready jokes and infectious laughter.
Henry's legacy lives on in the hearts of his loving family. He is survived by his three sisters, Virginia Cuff Ross, Belinda Ferguson, and Cora Thomas, who will fondly remember his kindness and humor. He leaves behind William "Porkchop" Harris, who was like a son. Also cherishing his memory are his special nephews, James Peterson and Terance Ferguson, and his special niece, Keonna Ross. Henry's life was further enriched by the love of his special cousins, Charlie Shedrick, Tommie Martin, and Geneva Jackson, as well as Ruby Jean Williams, who like daughter and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends who will miss him dearly.
Though Henry did not have grandchildren, he embraced his role as an uncle and friend with unparalleled enthusiasm, leaving an indelible mark on the younger generations of his family. His legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In celebrating Henry's life, we remember a man whose heart was as vast as the rivers he fished, whose laughter was as abundant as the stories he shared, and whose love was as constant as the sunrises over his beloved Georgia home. As we say goodbye, we hold onto the memories of a life well-lived and a man deeply loved.
A service to honor Henry Cuff's life will be held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where friends and family will gather to share stories, shed tears, and celebrate the remarkable life of a remarkable man. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Henry's memory, so that his spirit of generosity may continue to touch lives.
