Henrietta Viola Carroll

August 4, 1941 — October 27, 2026

Henrietta Viola Carroll, a beloved matriarch, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and cherished friend, peacefully departed this world on October 27, 2026, at her home in the tender care of her family. Born on August 4, 1941, in Biloxi, Mississippi, Henrietta was the treasured daughter of Philemane and Sophie Waltman. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering faith. Henrietta's journey was marked by a dedication to her family and community. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph "Jesse" Carroll, her dear son Joey, and his beloved Pam. Her siblings, June, Roland, Nola, Albert, and Alberta, also preceded her in passing, leaving behind a legacy of love and unity. She leaves behind a family that will forever cherish her memory: her devoted son Randall and his wife Shannon, her loving daughter Rhonda, and Joey's partner, Alena Hulova. Henrietta's grandchildren, Reachel, Tyler, Emily, Katie, Sophie, Braden, Colton, and Quinn, along with her great-grandchildren, will carry forward her spirit and values. She is also survived by her twin brother, Henry Waltman, and her sisters, Marie (Elton) Bienvenue, Mary Fergonise, Carol (Bobby) Schrieber, Sue Arguelles, and the twin of Rayford Waltman (Vicki), Betty Jo Haygood. Henrietta's professional life was a reflection of her nurturing spirit. She dedicated many years to managing several St. Martin school cafeterias, where her diligence and care were evident. Her talent extended to catering and crafting exquisite wedding cakes, and her home was a haven, always warm and welcoming to family and friends. A grandchild often found comfort in her lap as she rocked gently on her porch, surrounded by the vibrant plants and meticulously tended yard she so loved. In previous years, you could find a coffee pot ready to brew and something sweet to go along with the coffee and good conversation. Many family and friends will certainly miss that welcoming! A woman of deep faith, Henrietta lived her life in alignment with her beliefs. Her devotion to The Lord was evident in every action, and she found solace in reading her Bible while seated in her porch rocking chair. Her faith was not merely a belief but a practice that resonated through her daily life, inspiring all who knew her. She truly walked the talk! The family of Henrietta would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their prayers and comforting words during this time. They find solace in knowing that she is now at peace and reunited with those who have gone before her. In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Henrietta's memory to consider a donation to a cherished cause or organization dear to her heart. Henrietta Viola Carroll's legacy will continue to thrive in the laughter of her grandchildren, the stories shared by those who knew her, and the love that will forever bind her family together.
