Helen Johnson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Helen Jonson, a beloved, sister and friend who left this world peacefully on August 20, 2026. Born on May 30, 1964, in Akron, Ohio, Helen embodied a quiet strength and grace that touched the hearts of everyone she met. Helen was preceded in death by her parents Lula Johnson & Eddie Gibson, along with siblings Lula Townsend, Dorothy Townsend and Lucretia Johnson, as they are joyfully reunited. Helen's legacy lives through her surviving siblings Wallace (Alva) Johnson, Cherry Johnson, Arlena Johnson, and Lindsey Johnson, who each carry a piece of her spirit in their hearts, she also leaves to mourn an aunt Abbie White a host of nieces and nephews and cousins. Known for her quiet smile that could light up a room, Helen found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially her love for music. She had an uncanny ability to listen not just with her ears, but with her heart. A private service to celebrate Helen's life will be held on September 1, 2026 at 1:00 PM. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Funeral Home Services of Cummings & Davis in Cleveland, Ohio, for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time. Helen Johnson will be greatly missed but never forgotten, as her gentle spirit and loving nature continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
