It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Dugar, a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, who departed this world on June 21, 2026. Born on April 5, 1954, in the warm embrace of Louisiana, Helen filled her 72 years with an abundance of love, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to the lives she touched. Helen was the beloved daughter of the late Edmond and Hattie Dugar, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms in their eternal home. She was also preceded in death by her dear brother and sister, Mary and Doug Dugar, whose memories she held close to her heart. Helen’s life was a testament to her deep commitment to education and her enduring love for children. For over two decades, she inspired countless young minds as a dedicated and passionate teacher. Her classroom was not just a place of learning; it was a haven where students felt valued and encouraged to dream. Her influence extended far beyond the walls of the classroom, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to learn from her. Helen's legacy lives on through her family, who she cherished above all else. She leaves behind her loving sister, Dora Dugar, and her supportive brother, Ken Dugar. Her spirit and values continue to shine brightly in her two devoted children, Al Dugar and Susan Dugar, who carry forward her teachings and love. Helen was also the proud grandmother of three adoring grandchildren, who were the light of her life and who will remember her as their guiding star. A service to celebrate Helen’s remarkable life will be held on June 27, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Life of Hope, located at 1307 N Packerson Ave. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor Helen’s memory and to find comfort in shared stories of her kindness, wisdom, and humor. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Each message of condolence has been a source of strength and a reminder of Helen’s far-reaching impact. As they navigate this journey of loss, they are determined to stay strong and live out her legacy of love and kindness.
