Helen was at her cherished home in the comforting presence of her loving family. She was 87 years old. Born on May 3, 1939, in Chester, South Carolina, Helen was the cherished daughter of James and Marie Crosby. She grew up in a warm and nurturing household, alongside her sisters, who predeceased her, instilling in her the values of kindness, resilience, and compassion that would guide her throughout her life. Helen was a beacon of love, who shared 63 beautiful years with her devoted husband, who preceded her in death. Together, they built a family founded on love, laughter, and unwavering support, raising four children who, along with their families, survive her and carry forward her legacy of warmth and grace. Her nurturing spirit extended to her nine adoring grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life and whom she cherished deeply. Helen's life was a testament to quiet strength, boundless love, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community. Her home was always filled with the aroma of fresh-baked goods and the sound of laughter, a welcoming haven for all who entered. She was a devoted member of Mt. Olive Presbyterian Church, where she found solace and community, serving with a gentle heart and a giving spirit. Her presence in our lives was a blessing, her love a guiding force that will remain in our hearts forever. She taught us the beauty of a kind word, the healing power of a gentle touch, and the importance of cherishing each moment with those we love. A service to celebrate Helen's remarkable life will be held on June 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Mt. Olive Presbyterian Church. We invite all whose lives she touched to join us in remembering a truly extraordinary woman whose love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Helen's memory to a charity close to her heart, reflecting her lifelong commitment to helping others.
