Helen Cecile Crowell, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, surrounded by her cherished family. Born on May 30, 1937, in the quaint town of Lucky Lake, Saskatchewan, Helen was the daughter of William and Evelyn Reaburn. Her life was a testament to the enduring power of love, family, and community. Helen spent her early years in Lucky Lake, where she was raised alongside her siblings Gordon, Nelson, Robert, Pat, Dennis, and Kathy. From an early age, she learned the values of hard work, compassion, and resilience, qualities that would later define her role as the matriarch of her family. In 1964, Helen married the love of her life, Gordon Crowell, with whom she shared 57 beautiful years. Together, they nurtured a loving home and raised three wonderful children: Gordon (Rosaline) Crowell, Pamela Crowell, and Lorrie (Brad) Burke. Helen's devotion to her family was unwavering, and she found immense joy in watching her children grow and flourish. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Gordon, her parents, William and Evelyn, her brothers, Gordon, Nelson, and Robert, her sister Pat, and her granddaughter Jenna. Despite the heartaches of loss, Helen's spirit remained unbroken, and she continued to be a source of strength and guidance for her family. Her legacy lives on in her children and her grandchildren, Christine and Ryan Crowell, who were the light of her life. Helen found great delight in their achievements and adventures, always offering her wisdom and encouragement. Her presence in their lives was a steady reminder of the importance of kindness, integrity, and love. Helen is also survived by her brother Dennis Reaburn, her sister Kathy Snider, her sister-in-law Judy Rand, and numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. Her family, both immediate and extended, was always at the core of her being, and she cherished the time spent with each member. A private funeral ceremony will be held in honor of Helen's life, as per her wishes. Her family finds solace in knowing that Helen has been reunited with her beloved Gordon and those who have gone before her, resting in eternal peace. Helen Cecile Crowell's life was a tapestry woven with acts of kindness, love, and service. She touched the lives of many with her gentle spirit and unwavering faith in the goodness of people.
