With heavy hearts and deep appreciation for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Heather Gabriel Bragg, who left this world on April 18, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Heather was born on December 17, 1985, in Waterville, Maine, to Glenn and Bobbi Morrison, and she has been a beacon of light and love ever since. Heather's journey through life was marked by her unwavering positivity, her infectious smile, and her ability to make everyone around her feel cherished. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a beloved daughter, a supportive sister, and a cherished friend. She leaves behind her loving husband of nearly 16 years, Steve Bragg Jr., with whom she built a life filled with laughter, adventures, and endless love. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Benjamin and Emma, who were the center of Heather's world. Heather was a proud graduate of Erskine Academy, class of 2004. Her passion for helping others led her to a career in healthcare, where she touched countless lives as a Certified Nursing Assistant, a Medical Assistant, and a Phlebotomist. She began her career at Lakewood Nursing Home before moving on to Maine General Hospital, where she worked on the heart and cancer floor, offering care and comfort to those in need. Later, she brought her expertise and compassion to Waterville Family Practice. Heather's love for the outdoors was well-known. She found joy in camping, hiking, and fishing, and had a deep appreciation for the ocean. Her passion for photography allowed her to capture the beauty of nature and the precious moments she spent with her family, especially at sunset, which she never missed. She is survived by her parents, Glenn and Bobby Morrison; her sisters, Alicia Haskell and husband Brandon, and Julia Morrison and fiancé Chris Batchelder; and her maternal grandmother Dorothy Gilley her Aunt Dottie Gilley and fiance Jay Heald; and an extended family of loved ones and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. Heather was predeceased by her grandmother, Barbara Morrison, her uncles Tom and Lonnie Gilley, and her cousin, Jeremy Gilley, who now welcome her into their embrace. A service to celebrate Heather's life will be held on May 16, 2026, at Palermo Center Cemetery, located on Nelson Lane in Palermo, Maine. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Maine General Hospice team and the 2 West staff for their compassionate care, and to all of Heather's family and friends who stood by her side and offered their prayers and support. Heather's legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will continue to inspire all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Heather's honor to support cancer research, a cause close to her heart. As we remember Heather, let us carry forward her spirit of joy and warmth, and cherish the moments we shared with her.
