Hazel Bennett
November 19, 1962 — February 28, 2026
In loving memory of Hazel Bennett, who passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, at the age of 63. Hazel, a beloved wife, sister, and friend, graced this world with her presence beginning on November 19, 1962, in the quaint town of Enfield. Throughout her life, she embodied kindness, joy, and a deep love for those around her.
A cherished daughter, Hazel is now reunited with her beloved mum and dad, whose memories she carried close to her heart. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Gary, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage filled with love, laughter, and adventures since they wed in Enfield in 1994. Hazel is also survived by her dear sister, Marion, who has been a constant companion and confidante throughout her life's journey.
Hazel's career as a bank manager began when she was just 16 years old. Her dedication and hard work led her to a successful career spanning nearly four decades until she retired at the age of 55. Known for her great personality and helpful manner, Hazel could light up any room with her presence. Her beauty, both inside and out, was evident to all who knew her, and her passionate care for others was her calling card.
In her leisure time, Hazel was an avid gardener, delighting in the tranquility and beauty of nature. She took joy in crafting her own wine, a testament to her creativity and zest for life. Cooking was another of her passions, and she often shared her culinary creations with friends and family. An avid reader, Hazel loved losing herself in the pages of a good book, traveling to new places, and discovering the world with Gary by her side. Walking and singing were among her simple pleasures, bringing her peace and happiness.
Hazel's life will be celebrated at a service on March 20, 2026, at 12:45 PM, at Alford Crematorium, Alford. All who knew her are welcome to attend and honor the legacy of a remarkable woman who touched the lives of so many.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Marie Curie, an organization that supports those in need, a cause close to Hazel's heart.
As we say goodbye to Hazel, we hold onto the memories, the laughter, and the love she shared with us all. Her spirit will continue to guide us, bringing light into our lives, just as she always did. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
