Harvey was born on July 11, 1946, in Gary, Indiana, to the late Marvin and Annete Jones. Growing up in a close-knit family, Harvey learned the values of love, dedication, and resilience, which he carried throughout his life. In his younger years, Harvey dedicated himself tirelessly to both his career and his family. His commitment to his work was only surpassed by his devotion to those he loved. A man of integrity and strength, he was known for his caring nature and the joy he spread to everyone around him. Harvey's greatest wish was for the happiness and well-being of others, a testament to his generous spirit. Harvey is survived by his cherished wife of 35 years, Aaliyah Jones, whose love and support were the cornerstones of his life. Together, they built a beautiful family that stands as a testament to their enduring partnership. Harvey was the proud father of two children, Mary and Harvey Jr., who were the lights of his life. He was a devoted grandfather to three grandchildren and a great-grandfather to two great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his days. Upon retiring, Harvey spent his days indulging in the simple pleasures of life. He found peace in fishing, a hobby that allowed him to connect with nature and find solace. He also enjoyed unwinding by watching television, a pastime that brought him relaxation after years of hard work. Harvey's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to family. His loving presence and infectious joy will be dearly missed but forever remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him. In accordance with his wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Harvey's life and legacy. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a lung cancer research organization, in hopes of finding a cure for this illness that affects so many. Harvey Jones leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering commitment to family that will continue to inspire those who knew him. Though he may have left this world, his spirit will live on in the hearts of his loved ones, guiding them with the same love and joy that he shared during his lifetime.
