Harvey Greif

October 21, 1959 — June 13, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Harvey Greif, who left this world on June 13, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on October 21, 1959, in Regina, Harvey was a cherished son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His life, though unexpectedly cut short, was filled with love, laughter, and the joy of family. Harvey was the beloved son of Peter and Cecelia Greif, and he grew up surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. He was predeceased by his father, Peter Greif, and his sisters, Terry Carlson and Kathy Syrnyk, who no doubt welcomed him with open arms. Harvey is survived by his devoted wife, Donna Greif, with whom he shared an enduring love and partnership since their marriage on July 14, 1979. Harvey's life was a testament to his dedication to his family and his work. He spent many years perfecting his craft in the stucco and plastering business, where his skill and commitment were evident in every project he undertook. His work was not just a job but a reflection of his character—steady, reliable, and meticulous. Beyond his work, Harvey found joy in simple pleasures. He was an avid player of mobile games, finding delight in the challenge and camaraderie they offered. But perhaps his most cherished moments were spent in the serene comfort of his gazebo, where he would sit and listen to music, allowing the melodies to wash over him as he enjoyed the beauty of his surroundings. Harvey's legacy lives on in his children, Chad Greif, Jay (Crystal) Bear, and Teresa (Will) Youngblut, each of whom carry forward his spirit of kindness and resilience. His brothers, Peter (Lynn) Greif and Robert (Maria) Greif, and his sister, Wendy (David) Gauthier, mourn the loss of a brother who was both a confidant and a source of strength. He was a proud grandfather to Gabby (Tyrell) Laferte and Damon Greif-Youngblut. Harvey's tales and laughter will be fondly remembered by his great-grandsons, Robert and Luke Laferte-Norton, who brought him immense joy and pride. In addition to his family, Harvey was surrounded by many friends who will dearly miss his warmth, humor, and the genuine interest he took in their lives. His presence was a gift, and his memory will be a treasure to all who knew him. As we say goodbye to Harvey, we celebrate a life filled with love, dedication, and an unwavering spirit. May his journey beyond be as peaceful as the music he loved, and may his soul find eternal rest. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Harvey's memory, honoring his generous spirit and commitment to helping others. A celebration of Harvey's life will be held at a date to be announced, where friends and family can gather to share memories and honor a man who touched so many lives. Rest in peace, dear Harvey. You will be forever missed and forever loved.
