Harry, a beloved soul, was born on June 26, 1943, in Kansas City, Missouri, and his journey through life was marked by love, laughter, and an indomitable spirit. Harry was the cherished son of Frank and Frankie Sauer, who predeceased him, along with his dear half-brother, two children, and his beloved high school sweetheart, Leola Sauer. Harry and Leola's love story began in their school days at North Kansas School, where they both graduated, and it continued to blossom into a lifelong marriage filled with companionship and mutual respect. Throughout his life, Harry was known for his hard work and dedication. He spent many years contributing to the Ford plant before channeling his skills into a career as a meat cutter. In 2013, after many years of diligent service, Harry retired, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship and a reputation for excellence. Harry's life was not solely defined by his work; he was a man of diverse interests and passions. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life: scrapping for copper, recycling on warm days, and spending time fishing. Long drives allowed him to savor the beauty of the world around him, and he often shared these moments with his family and friends. A free spirit at heart, Harry was known for his ability to connect with others. He loved to engage in conversation, share a joke, and lend a helping hand to those in need. His warmth and humor created lasting bonds and spread joy to those fortunate enough to know him. Harry's legacy lives on through his surviving family: his devoted daughter Barbara Hudgens, his son William Sauer, his cherished grandson Michael Jones Sr., and his two great-grandsons, Michael Jones Jr. and Anthony Michael Jones.
