Harriet Davis, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on April 11, 1942, in Waverly, Tennessee, Harriet led a life filled with love, adventure, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. Harriet was the cherished daughter of Frances and William Bolerjack, who instilled in her the values of kindness and resilience. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, her dear husband of 40 years, Samuel Ragland Davis II, and her sisters. Harriet's heart and home were always full, and she leaves behind a legacy of love through her daughters, Samantha Slade (George) and Holly Smart (Neil), and her treasured grandchildren, Jane Davis Slade, Samuel Anderson, Mary Allen Anderson, and Hal Slade, who knew her as their devoted "Nana." A woman of intellect and ambition, Harriet graduated from Bartlett High School and the Jefferson School of Commerce. She furthered her education at The University of Tennessee - Martin, where she cultivated her love for learning. Harriet embraced the skies as a flight attendant for Texas International Airlines, where she combined her passion for travel with her gracious spirit, touching the lives of countless passengers and colleagues. Harriet's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a devoted member of Bellevue Baptist Church. Her commitment to her church community was evident in her steadfast participation and support. Harriet also found joy and camaraderie in the Common Wives group and was an enthusiastic tennis player, delighting in both the sport and the friendships it fostered. Those who knew Harriet will remember her gentle smile, her generous heart, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome and loved. Her warmth and compassion extended beyond her family and friends, reaching into the community she cherished deeply. A service to honor Harriet's life will be held on February 20, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Eastpoint Church, located on Craft Road. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate the beautiful life she led and the indelible mark she leaves on the hearts of all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Bellevue Baptist Church, in memory of Harriet's enduring faith and love for her church community. Harriet Davis's spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of her loved ones. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of kindness, love, and devotion will continue to inspire and guide those she leaves behind.
