It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Haroon Rasheed, a kind and intelligent soul whose gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. Haroon passed away on April 13, 2025, after a courageous battle with illness. He was 58 years old. Haroon was born on August 23, 1966, in the vibrant city of Karachi. From a young age, he exhibited a natural curiosity and love for learning, qualities that would define his life and career. His upbringing in Karachi instilled in him a rich appreciation for culture and community, values he carried with him wherever he went. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Haroon cherished his family above all else. He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Salma Rasheed, whose unwavering support and love were a testament to their enduring partnership. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and shared dreams. Haroon was the proud father of three children: Saad Rasheed, aged 31; Mariam Rasheed, aged 29; and Hammad Rasheed, aged 23. His children were the light of his life, and he took immense pride in their achievements, always encouraging them to pursue their passions with the same dedication he exemplified throughout his own life. Haroon's legacy extends to his role as a grandfather, a title he held with immense joy and pride. He delighted in the company of his two grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness and whom he adored beyond measure. Throughout his life, Haroon was known for his warmth and generosity. He had an innate ability to make everyone feel valued and respected, a testament to his loving nature. Whether through his professional endeavors or personal interactions, Haroon's intelligence and compassion left an indelible mark on those around him. Haroon was predeceased by his dear family members: Saad Rasheed, Hammad Rasheed, Salma Rasheed, and Mariam Rasheed. Their memories lived on in his heart, and he honored them through his own life and actions. While Haroon's presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched. His family is comforted by the knowledge that he is now at peace, free from pain, and watching over them with love. In accordance with Haroon's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor his life. The family requests privacy during this difficult time as they navigate their loss. As we remember Haroon Rasheed, let us celebrate a wonderful man whose kindness, intelligence, and love enriched the lives of all who knew him. His memory will forever be a guiding light, a reminder of the beauty of a life well-lived.
