Harold Richard Heinz

April 26, 1933 — February 27, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harold Richard Heinz, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and steadfast servant of God, on February 27, 2026. Harold left this world peacefully, surrounded by the love of his devoted wife, Millicent, and his cherished family. Born on April 26, 1933, in Guttenberg, NJ, Harold was the treasured son of Matthew and Barbara Heinz. He was predeceased by his parents, as well as his dear brothers, Raymond and Matthew, and his loving sisters, Barbara and Gertrude. Despite these losses, Harold found immense joy and purpose in the family he built with Millicent, his wife of 62 wonderful years. Together, they raised two children, Amy Aris and Erik Heinz, and were blessed with four adoring grandchildren: Garrett, Matthew, Kate, and Ayden. Harold's life was a testament to dedication in all its forms. A proud alumnus, he graduated from Memorial High School in 1951 and pursued higher education at St. Peter's College, graduating in 1959. His sense of duty extended beyond academics; he served his country as an x-ray technician in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. Following his military service, Harold embraced a spiritual calling, becoming an ordained Deacon for the Catholic Diocese of Ft. Worth, TX, where he served faithfully for 43 years until October 30, 2025. Harold's life was rich with simple pleasures and boundless love. A humble and gentle soul, he found great joy in baking pies and making preserves, activities that brought family and friends together. He was a talented craftsman, creating beautiful stained glass pieces that were reflections of his keen eye for beauty and detail. But above all, Harold's heart belonged to his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. Harold's legacy is one of love, humility, and unwavering faith. He was a devoted husband, a caring father, a doting grandfather, and a cherished Deacon who touched the lives of many with his kindness and compassion. A service to celebrate Harold's remarkable life will be held on March 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church, located at 3713 Harwood Rd. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Harold's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, a cause close to his heart. Harold Richard Heinz will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him. His life was a beautiful testament to the power of love, faith, and family.
