Harold Manbevers Sr
March 6, 1956 — September 22, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and deep appreciation for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Harold Manbevers Sr., who peacefully left this world on September 22, 2026, in the compassionate care of Seaton Hospital. Born on March 6, 1956, in Pueblo, Colorado, Harold's journey on this earth was marked by unwavering devotion to family, exceptional service to his country, and a passion for life that inspired all who knew him.
Harold was the beloved son of Harold Jennings Manbevers and Wilda Manbevers. He grew up in Pueblo, graduating from Pueblo High School, where he first demonstrated the qualities that would define his life: kindness, dedication, and a strong work ethic. After high school, Harold answered the call to serve his country, enlisting in the United States Army. As an aircraft mechanic, he served with distinction in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Afghanistan, eventually retiring as a 1st Sergeant in 1996. His commitment to service continued as a helicopter mechanic and T.I. Inspector in Bosnia and Afghanistan, contributing to efforts around the globe.
In 1978, Harold married the love of his life, Sally T. Manbevers, in a heartfelt ceremony in South Carolina. Together, they shared 48 wonderful years of marriage, filled with love, laughter, and mutual support. Harold was a devoted father to his son, Harold Manbevers Jr., and a proud grandfather to three beautiful grandchildren. He took immense pride in his family, providing for them without complaint and loving them with a ferocity that was unparalleled.
Harold's life was enriched by simple pleasures. He had a knack for bringing anything with an engine back to life and cherished the times spent fishing or simply enjoying the company of his family. His mornings were a testament to his discipline: a thermos filled with black coffee, boots laced with precision, ready to face the day with unwavering punctuality.
Standing tall and stern, Harold was a man of principle who walked through life’s fires with courage and selflessness, giving until there was nothing left to give. His legacy is one of integrity, strength, and love, leaving a lasting impact on all who were fortunate to know him.
Harold is survived by his devoted wife, Sally, his cherished son, Harold Jr., his brother, Lester Manbevers, and his three grandchildren. As we remember Harold, we find solace in the love he shared and the memories he created.
A service to honor Harold's life will be held on October 5, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. His family invites those who wish to remember him to make a donation to a charity of their choice, reflecting Harold’s generous spirit and enduring compassion.
