Harold Lee Pillow
April 16, 1952 — May 19, 2026
It is with profound sorrow and heartfelt remembrance that we announce the passing of Harold Lee Pillow, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed this life on May 19, 2026. Born on April 16, 1952, in Madisonville, Kentucky, Harold was a beacon of love, strength, and integrity throughout his 74 years among us.
Harold was the beloved son of the late Harvey Taylor Pillow and Janet Allen Edgar. He was preceded in death by his dear parents, as well as his sisters Kathy, Becky, and Linda. Despite these losses, Harold's spirit remained unyielding, continuing to nurture and guide his surviving family with unwavering devotion.
Harold proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he forged bonds of brotherhood and displayed a dedication to duty that would characterize his entire life. Upon completing his service, Harold embarked on a diverse and fulfilling career. He worked as an electrician and master carpenter before dedicating his skills and expertise to the State of Florida as a bridge inspector. His meticulous attention to detail and steadfast commitment to excellence were hallmarks of his professional life, leaving a legacy of safety and reliability that will be appreciated for generations.
Family was the cornerstone of Harold's life. He is survived by his daughter, D'Lorah Wojtuniak, and her wife Monica; his son, Aaron Pillow, and his wife Sara. Harold's love and wisdom will continue to shine through his four grandchildren, Katherine Wollesen, Steven Wojtuniak, Daniel Wojtuniak, and Hannah Wojtuniak, as well as his five great-grandchildren, Karlie Wojtuniak, Karson Wojtuniak, Sawyer Wollesen, Addison Wollesen, and Scottlyn Wollesen. Each of them carries a part of his heart, a testament to the enduring bonds he fostered.
Harold's siblings, Harvey Pillow, David Pillow, Anthony Pillow, and Pamela Pillow, will forever cherish the memories of their brother's kindness, humor, and unfaltering support. His many nieces and nephews, too numerous to name, will remember Uncle Harold as a guiding light and source of endless encouragement.
Those who knew Harold understood his passion for life and his love for woodworking, a craft through which he expressed his creativity and generosity. His handiwork, whether a carefully crafted piece of furniture or a lovingly built toy, served as a physical manifestation of his care and attention—a gift to those fortunate enough to receive it.
In remembering Harold, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and an unshakeable faith in the goodness of people. His legacy is not only in the structures he helped to construct but also in the lives he touched and the hearts he warmed. Though he has left this earthly realm, Harold's spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service honoring Harold's remarkable life will be held at a later date. For those wishing to pay tribute, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Harold's memory to a charity of their choice, reflecting his generous and giving nature.
As we say farewell, we hold onto the comfort that Harold Lee Pillow's life was a testament to the power of love, honor, and family. His presence will be dearly missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who loved him.
