Harold Dean Conner

Inman, SC – Harold Dean Conner, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, was called home on July 13, 2026, after an extended illness. Born on November 27, 1964, in Inman, South Carolina, Harold was the cherished son of Doffus and Betty Doris Conner. He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and dedication to those fortunate enough to have known him. Harold was a man of great integrity and principle, traits that he carried with him throughout his life. A proud graduate of Spartanburg High School's Class of 1982, he went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Army. His service to others extended beyond his military career. For over 35 years, Harold was a dedicated employee of Detroit Forming Incorporated, where his commitment and work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. In 1989, Harold married the love of his life, Robin Staggs Conner. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure over 37 beautiful years. Harold and Robin's love story is a testament to the power of partnership and devotion, a story that will continue to inspire their family for generations to come. Harold was a proud and loving father to his daughters, Chelsea Conner and Ingrid Burgess, and Victoria Conner. He was also a doting grandfather to his five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. His family was his greatest joy, and his love for them was boundless. He was predeceased by his beloved brothers, John Murphy and James Murphy Jr., whose memories he cherished deeply. Harold is survived by his wife, Robin; his daughters; his sisters, Gayle Ramsey, Susie Miller, Sarah Browning, and Geneva Bomar; his brothers, George Jacobs, Ulysses Murphy, and Randy (Rick) Murphy; his mother-in-law, Issabell Staggs; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and countless friends who will miss him dearly. Harold was a man of faith, a member of the Baptist church, where he found strength and guidance throughout his life. His faith was a cornerstone of his character and a source of comfort to all who knew him. A service to celebrate Harold's life will be held on July 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Alexander, Casey & Gist Funeral Service, located at 1223 Old Anderson Mills Rd., Moore, SC 29369. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and remember Harold's remarkable life and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of many. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Harold's memory to a charity of your choice. Harold Dean Conner will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work, and his service to his country. His gentle spirit and kind heart will be missed, but his legacy will live on in the cherished memories he leaves behind.
