It is with profound sadness and deep respect that we announce the peaceful passing of Hamlet Manuel Medrano Alvarez, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, on May 18, 2026. Born on August 14, 1980, in the vibrant city of Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana, Hamlet filled his 45 years with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to those he cherished most. Hamlet was the cherished son of Jose Medrano and the late Paulina Alvarez, who predeceased him. He was the devoted husband of Julie Martinez, with whom he began a loving relationship in 2010. Their marriage in 2016 marked the beginning of a beautiful journey. Together, they built a warm and welcoming home, overcoming life's trials with grace and joy, always finding strength in each other’s love. A man of great honor and hard work, Hamlet was known for always putting his family first. He was the proud father of Natalia Medrano and Mysael Medrano, and a caring stepfather to David Oquendo, Julissa Oquendo, Elizabeth Oquendo, and Sarah Oquendo. Hamlet's legacy of love and laughter lives on in the hearts of his 15 grandchildren, who will remember him for his warm smile, welcoming spirit, and infectious humor. In his professional life, Hamlet was the owner of a successful window tinting business. His dedication and integrity earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike. Yet, it was his ability to make those around him feel valued and uplifted that truly set him apart. Hamlet is survived by his loving father, Jose Medrano, and his brothers Eliezer Medrano, Jose Medrano, Christian Medrano, and Gonzalez Cabassa. His extended family of cousins, aunts, uncles, and countless friends will forever cherish the laughter he brought into their lives. A private funeral service will be held at Funeraria Savica, located at J P Pina 20, San Cristobal, Republica Dominicana. While the ceremony is intimate, the family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who played a role in Hamlet's caregiving, and to all those who continuously reminded him of how deeply he was loved. To know Hamlet was to experience joy and kindness. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire and guide his family and friends. In this time of mourning, we find solace in the cherished memories and the indelible imprint he has left on our hearts. Forever in our hearts, Hamlet's spirit will live on in every smile and every moment of laughter shared among those who knew him. Rest in peace, dear Hamlet.
