In Loving Memory of Hamlet Manuel Medrano Alvarez
August 14, 1980 – May 18, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Hamlet Manuel Medrano Alvarez, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, who peacefully departed this world on May 18, 2026, at his cherished home. Born on August 14, 1980, in Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana, Hamlet's life was a testament to love, dedication, and the joy of family.
Hamlet was the cherished son of Jose Medrano and leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that will be carried on through the lives of those who survive him. He found his greatest joy and fulfillment in the company of his devoted wife, Julie Martinez, with whom he shared a deep and abiding love. They began their journey together in 2010, and their marriage in 2016 was a celebration of their unwavering commitment and shared dreams. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, overcoming trials and tribulations with grace and resilience.
As a father, Hamlet's love knew no bounds. His children, Natalia Medrano and Mysael Medrano, along with his stepchildren, David Oquendo, Julissa Oquendo, Elizabeth Oquendo, and Sarah Oquendo, were the light of his life. Hamlet's legacy of love extends to his 15 grandchildren, who will forever hold his memory close in their hearts.
Hamlet was a man of honor and integrity, known for his hard work and unwavering commitment to his family. He built a successful business in the United States and Republica Dominicana, specializing in window tinting, a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication. Yet, it was his warm smile, welcoming spirit, and infectious laughter that truly defined him. Hamlet had a unique gift for making others laugh and find joy in the simple moments of life.
He is deeply mourned by his brothers, Eliezer Medrano and Jose Medrano, and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who had the privilege of knowing a man who always put family first.
A service to honor Hamlet's remarkable life will be held at Funeraria Savica, located at J P Pina, San Cristobal, Republica Dominicana. It is here that family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of a man who brought so much light into the world.
The Medrano family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who assisted in Hamlet's caregiving. Your kindness and support served as a constant reminder of the love that surrounded him.
As we bid farewell to Hamlet, let us remember him as the honorable man he was, whose legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will forever be etched in our hearts. Though he may be gone from our sight, he will never be absent from our hearts.
Forever in our hearts.
