Gwendolyn Faulkner

Gwendolyn Faulkner, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully departed this world at her home on September 16, 2026, after a brief illness. Born on June 23, 1940, in Baltimore, MD, Gwendolyn was the beloved daughter of James Edward Chapman, Sr. and Geraldine Eleanor Chapman. She was reunited in peace with her parents, her brother James Edward Chapman Jr., and her daughter Lisa Chapman. Gwendolyn shared a lifetime of love and companionship with her devoted husband, Calvin Faulkner. Throughout their many years together, they built a family full of love and joy, including two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of whom were the lights of her life. Devoted to the care and well-being of others, Gwendolyn worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in various nursing homes. Her gentle touch and compassionate spirit brought comfort to many, and her dedication to her profession was admired by colleagues and patients alike. A deeply spiritual woman, Gwendolyn was an active member of the First Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the Pastor's Aide Committee and The Flower Circle. Her faith and commitment to her church community were unwavering, and she was known for her generous spirit and kind heart. Gwendolyn had a passion for cooking, finding joy in preparing meals for her loved ones. Her culinary skills were unmatched, especially her legendary cheesecakes, which were a delight to all who had the pleasure of tasting them. Her home was often filled with the warm, inviting aroma of her baking, a testament to her love for her family and friends. In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Gwendolyn's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Dementia organization in her memory, supporting a cause close to her heart. Gwendolyn Faulkner's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will forever be cherished by all who knew her. Her gentle soul and loving spirit will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her remarkable life.
