Guy Casey Henderson
August 10, 1960 — June 14, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Guy Casey Henderson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Guy departed this world on June 14, 2026, at the age of 65, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born on August 10, 1960, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Guy's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and dedication, woven with threads of resilience and grace.
Guy was the cherished son of the late Bill and Barbara Henderson, whose loving guidance shaped the remarkable man he became. He was predeceased by his parents and his nephew, James Martin Young, whose memories Guy held dear.
On November 14, 1981, Guy married the love of his life, Annette "Nettie" Loftis, in a heartfelt ceremony in Mineral Wells, Texas. Together, they embarked on a journey that spanned 44 beautiful years, raising three wonderful sons, Brent Loftis (Maricela), Casey Henderson Jr. (Cassie), and William "Nate" Henderson (Jackie). Guy's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Luke, Noah, Cade, Cason, and Luna, who were the light of his life.
Guy proudly served his country in the Army and the Texas National Guard, embodying the spirit of dedication and courage that defined his life. He carried this dedication into his career as a Heavy Duty Technician, where he was admired for his skill and work ethic.
A true Texan at heart, Guy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, finding solace and adventure in the great outdoors. His love for grilling was legendary, and he was known for his ability to turn a simple meal into a feast, bringing family and friends together around his table.
Guy's sense of humor and wit were his trademarks, endearing him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He loved a good joke and found joy in making others smile, a gift that will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Nettie, his beloved sons and their families, his five grandchildren, and his dear sister, Dora K. Luff (JW), who will all continue to honor his memory and carry forward his legacy of love and laughter.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Baylor All Saints and Texas Oncology of Weatherford, Texas, for their exceptional care and compassion during Guy's illness.
In celebrating Guy's life, we remember not just the battles he fought, but the love he shared, the laughter he inspired, and the warmth he brought into our lives. His spirit will forever echo in the hearts of all who knew him, a testament to a life well-lived and a love that will endure.
A memorial service to honor Guy's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to remember a truly remarkable man. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Lung Association in Guy's name, to continue the fight against the disease that took him from us too soon.
