Gurlie Kimp " Big Daddy"

We are celebrating the passing of Mr. Gurlie Kimp, who left this world on September 25, 2026, at the age of 78. Mr. Gurlie was born on March 31, 1948, in the warm and welcoming community of McIntosh County. He spent his final moments surrounded by loved ones at the Southeastern Memorial Hospital in Glynn County. Gurlie was the son of Ms. Marie Gary, who preceded him in death, along with his beloved aunt, Ms. Thelma Hartley, and one brother, Mr. Curlie Kimp. Throughout his journey, Mr. Gurlie leaves a legacy that will be cherished by his surviving family. He leaves to mourned five devoted brothers: Mr. George Baker of Summersville, S.C.; Mr. Arthur Kimp, Mr. Robert Gary, Mr. Charles Gary, all of Brunswick, Ga.; and Mr. Richard Gary of Darien, Ga. He also leaves behind his dear sister, Ms. Lillie Gregory of Brunswick, Ga.. He leaves his children to mourn: two sons, Paul King and Daniel Kimp, and a daughter, Julie Kimp. He also leaves to mourn his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the love and values he imparted. Mr. Gurlie shared a special connection with his very close friend, Ms. Belinda West, whose companionship was a source of joy and comfort in his life. He leaves a host of cousion, family, and friend, both far and near, and he held them dear to his heart. The family wishes to share a special message: "A LIFE WELL LIVED. YOUR LIFE WAS A BLESSING. YOUR MEMORY A TREASURE. YOU ARE LOVED BEYOND WORDS AND MISSED BEYOND MEASURE." May Gurlie Kimp rest in eternal peace, his life a testament to love, resilience, and the enduring bond of family.
