Gregory departed from this world on April 1, 2026, at the age of 60. Born on March 9, 1966, in Roanoke, Virginia, Gregory's journey through life was one marked by love, laughter, and service. Gregory was the cherished son of Janice Webster and the late Fortune Clarence Schefield, whose memory he always held close. He is survived by his devoted mother, Janice, his loving brother, Paul Russell, and his treasured children: Shantiera, Raneir, and Keoddre Schefield. Gregory's legacy continues through his two adored grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. A dedicated serviceman, Gregory joined the U.S. Army in 1984, where he served his country with honor and valor. His adventurous spirit led him to the seas, where he later served as a merchant seaman in 1989. Gregory had an infectious sense of humor, frequently lightening hearts with his well-timed jokes. His warmth and kindness were palpable, drawing people to him and leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. To be in Gregory's presence was to experience joy and genuine connection.
