It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Grandpa Mike Henard, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, on April 8, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness. Mike was born on August 13, 1964, in Chicago, IL, to Mary and Mike Henard Sr., who instilled in him the values of strength and resilience that defined his life.
Mike was a beacon of love and warmth, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. He was a devoted husband to Johanna Bennett, with whom he shared 21 beautiful years of marriage. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love and mutual respect, a bond that was a source of joy and strength for both.
As a father, Mike was a guiding light to his son, Mathew Henard, imparting wisdom and support in every step of his journey. His love extended to his three wonderful grandchildren, Jermya Henard, Kacey Bennett, and Jaylin Henard, who brought immense joy and pride into his life. Though predeceased by these beloved grandchildren, their memories continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved them.
Mike's life was a testament to perseverance and grace, qualities that shone brightly even in the face of adversity. His love for his family was matched by his dedication to his community, where he was known for his generosity and kindness. His legacy is carried on by those who survive him, and his impact will be felt for generations to come.
A celebration of Mike's life will be held on April 30, 2026, at 2:45 PM at Kutis Funeral Home, located at 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd, Mehlville, MO 63129, United States. Family, friends, and all whose lives Mike touched are invited to join in honoring his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, an organization close to Mike’s heart.
