In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Grandmother
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished Grandmother, who departed this world on April 17, 2026, at the age of 71. She left us peacefully at her home, after a valiant 15-year battle with cancer, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Born on August 21, 1954, in the vibrant city of Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, Grandmother was the beloved daughter of the late Larry and Lisa Hyacinth. She grew up in a home filled with love, warmth, and the rich cultural tapestry of Trinidad and Tobago. Her parents instilled in her the values of kindness, resilience, and compassion, qualities that she carried throughout her life and passed on to her family.
Grandmother was a beacon of strength and grace, her life a testament to the power of love and perseverance. Her spirit was indomitable, and her heart was a wellspring of generosity and care. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Lisa and Larry Hyacinth, and her cherished son, Richard Hyacinth, whose memories she held dear until her last moments.
A devoted matriarch, Grandmother poured her love into her family, nurturing and guiding them with unwavering support. She is survived by her adoring grandchildren, nine in total, each of whom she cherished deeply. Her legacy of love continues through her three great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and laughter to her days.
Grandmother's home was a sanctuary of love and warmth, where the aroma of her delicious cooking would welcome family and friends alike. Her laughter was infectious, her stories captivating, and her hugs were a source of comfort and security.
She was a woman of great faith, and her spiritual strength was a guiding light for all who knew her. Her life was a beautiful symphony of love, faith, and courage, and though she has left this earthly realm, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating Grandmother's remarkable life at a service to be held on April 23, 2026, at 11:30 AM. The service will take place at Clark & Battoo Funeral Directors, located at the corner of Tragarete Road, Trinidad & Tobago. Together, we will honor her memory, sharing stories and memories of the wonderful woman who enriched our lives in countless ways.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to cancer research, in the hopes of finding a cure to the disease that she fought so bravely.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find solace in the knowledge that Grandmother's love will continue to guide us, and her legacy will endure through the generations. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as we carry her spirit within us always.
Rest in peace, dear Grandmother. Your love is our eternal treasure.
