In Loving Memory of Grace Miller December 6, 1937 – April 5, 2026 On a crisp June morning in 1937, Port Elizabeth welcomed one of its most quietly extraordinary gifts — Grace Miller. True to her name in every sense, Grace moved through life with a dignity and warmth that few could match and none could forget. For 88 beautiful years, she enriched the lives of those around her with a heart full of compassion and hands that were never still — always cooking, always caring, always reaching out to lift another soul. Known affectionately as Ma Gay, Grace possessed the rare ability to make everyone feel seen, heard, and loved. Her eyes held a gentle softness when she listened, and her presence offered a quiet strength that could comfort even the most troubled hearts. She was a woman of unshakeable faith, rooted in the Word and anchored by prayer, facing her battles with remarkable grace and finishing her race with honor. Grace was blessed with a loving family who were the center of her world. She leaves behind her cherished daughter, her devoted grandson, and a lineage of five great-grandchildren who were the light of her life. Her legacy of love and kindness continues through them, each carrying a piece of her gentle spirit and indomitable faith. As the sun set on the 4th of May 2026, Grace quietly departed from this world, answering God's call to join Him in eternal rest. She leaves behind a world that is richer for her presence and a family that will forever honor her memory. A service celebrating Grace's life will be held on the 5th of August, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Rand Funeral Brixton. Family, friends, and all whose lives she touched are warmly invited to join in remembering and honoring an extraordinary woman who lived her life with purpose and grace. In this time of remembrance, the family shares a special message of hope inspired by Grace's unwavering faith: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness." — 2 Timothy 4:7–8 Grace's life was a testament to the profound impact of love, faith, and grace. Her memory will forever be cherished, her legacy will continue to inspire, and her spirit will remain a guiding light for all who knew her.
